There & Here

Over there, I was uncomfortable.

Now, I am here.

Nothing big, really.

I just saw a strange feeling

trying to envelope me.

 

I watched it.

I made guesses at where it was coming from.

I asked it

Why are you here?

 

Not angrily.

I was genuinely curious.

 

Slowly, I left that place.

I walked away from it.

It was a long walk,

but I think that was better

than taking the bus or a taxi.

 

Those would have been too quick.
